TOPIC

You know, using Segoe UI 14points on either white or dotted background seems to have satisfied my craving for another text editor. It's pleasant to the eye and relaxing enough to concentrate as I type my quick ideas.

TOPIC

After installing the DokuWiki's Comments plugin, I began reading about Isso and Remark42, two well nown comment apps. They look interesting, especially Isso. However, in my effort to simplify, I must be careful not to customize too much and become a prisoner of my own doing. I'll keep testing DokuWiki's native plugin (Comments) for now, perhaps I can make it functional for me. Meanwhile, I'm always open to other options or no option at…

The Philosophy Behind Tweaking Dokuwiki

TOPIC

I'm no longer chasing clicks. I just want to write and let the wind take it for whatever it is worth.
Dear AI, lately I've been spending some time tweaking DokuWiki. It feels like a good candidate to post my little articles online. I want something simple. Truth is, Wikipedia, Drupal, or even WordPress were just too heavy for my current goals. I've used them in the past and built wonderful projects w…

REPLY

DokuWiki isn’t a mass‑market CMS like WordPress, so it doesn’t generate the same volume of casual questions. But it has a steady, loyal, technically minded community that keeps it alive and evolving. The people who choose it tend to value exactly what you value: simplicity, portability, transparency, and control.…

I've got distracted and let my teapot boil out of water. I usually set an alarm but not today. However, I noticed a white foam at the bottom of the black pot. It sounded like milk or perhaps residues of soap. Could that be soap from an improper wash?

While both terms describe individuals existing outside the mainstream,

----TOPIC

This is silly question since I already know the answer,
but, in the olden days we used the HTML tag <i>.

Then we stopped using it and used <em> for semantics instead.
